Why we started
Choosing antivirus shouldn't be confusing, yet it often is. Search results are crowded with "best antivirus" lists that earn a commission on every sale, pop-ups claiming your PC is infected, and fake renewal emails using real brand names. Many people end up paying for protection they don't need — or worse, installing fake software from scammers.
MyAntiPC was created to be a calm, independent alternative: a place that explains what security products actually do, in plain English, without trying to sell you anything.

Our independence
We don't sell, resell or license any security software. We don't use affiliate links and don't accept payment from software companies for coverage, rankings or reviews. MyAntiPC is not affiliated with Microsoft, AVG, Avast, Gen Digital, Guardio or any other company we write about. When we mention a product, it's because readers ask about it.
What we will never do
- Ask you to call a phone number or give anyone remote access to your computer
- Tell you your computer is infected to push a product
- Use fake countdowns, alarms or urgent warnings
- Recommend "PC optimizer", registry cleaner or unverified security software
How we write
Our guides are written by the MyAntiPC team, drawing on years of hands-on experience helping home users and small offices with Windows security. We check each guide against official vendor documentation and the current version of Windows 11, draw on publicly available independent lab testing, and update pages when products or menus change.
